Expletive-Laced Locker Room ‘Pep Talk’ Has LA Sparks GM Penny Toler in WNBA’s Sights

The WNBA is looking into what was reportedly an expletive- and epithet-laden locker room “pep talk” given by Los Angeles Sparks general manager Penny Toler to her losing team during Game 2 of the WNBA playoffs.

“We understand the heat of the moment and that the Sparks lost in the semifinals, but we don’t condone that kind of language and will be reviewing it over the next few days,” WNBA...

All About the Comeback: Cardi B Wants to Name Her Next Album ‘Tiger Woods’

All About the Comeback: Cardi B Wants to Name Her Next Album ‘Tiger Woods’

In a year when Cardi B stayed winning (a Grammy , a BET Award and a Billboard trophy among her victories), it’s obvious she’s good when it comes to the come-up. That appears to explain, at least in part, how the rap star came to decide to dub her next album “Tiger Woods.”

Hip-hop and sports have long been paired, but like the title of that Kurtis Blow throwback ’80s classic “Basketball,” those...

Really, Sis? Woman Risks Her Own Circle of Life in Dance With a Real ‘Lion King’ at NYC’s Bronx Zoo

Herman Reynoso was visiting the zoo with his family over the weekend, taking video of the African lion exhibit, when all of a...

‘I Will Be the Hero’: Giuliani Goes Off on the ‘Morons’ Giving Him the Side-Eye for His Role in Trump’s Impeachment Woes

He’s Just a Good Ol’ Boy: Fired Michigan Cop’s Excuse for Having a KKK Application in His Home

If you grew up during the ’80s when The Dukes of Hazzard ruled the TV airwaves, then you’re probably familiar with the opening lines from its Waylon Jennings-penned theme song: “Just’a good ol’ boys, Never meaning no harm ...”

Olympics to Finally Give Sprinters Tommie Smith and John Carlos Their Props by Inducting Them Into Hall of Fame

Decades before Colin Kaepernick was taking a knee on the football gridiron to protest racial injustice, Olympic sprinters Tommie Smith and John Carlos were raising a fist on the winners’ stand at the 1968 Olympics. Much like Kaepernick, Smith and Carlos were expelled for their actions. Now, it looks like the Olympics is prepared to issue a mea culpa of sorts.

On Nov. 1, a little more than 51...

Candace Owens Is At It Again, Coming Out Her Black Face to Whitesplain Away the Impact of White Supremacy

And she’s back. Auntie Ruckus, aka black conservative commentator Candace Owens, was back on the Hill Friday in her role as white-nationalist-denier, telling a House committee that white supremacy is simply “not a problem” for black folks.

For some reason, Owens was invited by Republicans to appear before a House Joint Oversight Subcommittee on combating white supremacy to provide cover for...
