Printable Diorama!

Printable Diorama!

As many of you may know, I had the opportunity to go to the Rolex Reunion with Michelin during Monterey Car Week a few years ago. It was a mind-blowing experience with the greatest vintage racecars around.

Well, that trip inspired me to work on creating this diorama. It was a complicated build that took me more than a year to complete satisfactorily. I’ve modeled these pit garages on those...

Cool Classics

Cool Classics

My walmart is currently stocked up on Cool Classics. I picked up these:
Ford GT • '69 Mustang Boss 302 • '65 Volkswagen Fastback.

I'm not totally sure if I'll keep them all. I'm not a VW guy, but this one is pretty sweet. I may be willing to trade for the right vehicles.

Pictures from the internet.

Rennsport . . .

Rennsport . . .

Hey everyone! I haven’t been here much lately. Occasionally I’ll peruse for a few minutes and enjoy what you are posting, but I haven’t contributed anything in a long time.

I would have a bunch of photos of a really unique 1:1 Porsche to show you that I shot last week . . . but they’re under embargo! Sorry about that.

Something about [Vocal Musician] and “Porsche” and [Imagination]?
And Michelin,...

Ferrari Friday-crashing

Ferrari Friday-crashing

Lamborghini has been shaking up Ferrari for a while. Why should it be any different here?

I really like the blue Polizia version (with great wheels), but my favorite Gallardo is definitely the Superleggera. This thing is so beautiful! I wish I'd picked up the other colors.

Sunday Drivers

Sunday Drivers

Hot Wheels 1935 Cadillac in black over green • Looks like it's a 2012 version

Hot Wheels Classic Packard • Original 1983 version from my childhood

And in the middle is the Phantom Corsair • Original 1999 version (baseplate says 1998)
I guess this one is for those modernists who wish to eschew the chauffeur and drive themselves to the soiree.

Happily, I found one of these today, along with about 50 007 Aston Martin DBS’s. It was the only one in the store, buried in the dump bin.

For those who don't frequent the Lamley blog, he just shared some images from a die cast store down in Brazil, Curitiba Customs.

Their display is unreal, and you would all enjoy looking through their pictures. You may also get some ideas for your own collections. Stellar presentation.

Throwback Th.

Throwback Th.

I've had these Vipers since my early teen years. The Viper was my all-time favorite car back then, preferably an original GTS Coupe in blue with white stripes. There was no other option.

I don't have them with me at work, so I'm guessing here. I believe the Blue GTS Coupe is a Maisto, as is the GTS-R, and possibly the Silver GTS, though it has better wheels. I can't remember what the RT/10 is....

It was a bitter cold morning to be up so early standing around in a parking lot. Well worth it…

Do you have a fix for scratched windows?

Do you have a fix for scratched windows?

I picked up the Gulf McLaren F1 GTR this weekend but didn’t notice the deep scratch in the windshield until I opened it. Is there a fix for this, or would the easiest solution be to drill it and swap the windows with the mainline version?

I'm alive, and still diecasting!

I'm alive, and still diecasting!

Howdy all! It’s been just over 11 months since I’ve posted any diecast. Crazy! My collecting has slowed down, and so has the photography and diorama building. But that’s what I wanted to share today, my most recent car diorama. I built this one over Christmas and promptly took it to work. So the only photos I have are from my phone. Sorry about that!

I’ve posted a couple of my CM rally...

So what's up with MoonEyes?

So what's up with MoonEyes?

I've seen that it's a super TH this year, and also a regular mainline van. But why is it so popular? Frankly, not knowing anything about it, I think it's kind of ugly. So why does everyone want it? Please enlighten me, though I doubt it will change my opinion on its looks.
