I Hope You Dance

This past Saturday, Pierce Bush, grandson of George H. W. Bush and nephew of George W. Bush, a war criminal who paints dogs and people now, married his fiancé, Sarahbeth Melton. The wedding took place at Garden of the Gods in Colorado, an objectively beautiful place for a wedding or for when you have family in town and they want to see beautiful things but don’t want to get out of the car.

Anyway, yes, Uncle Dubya attended the wedding and reception. The former president appeared in a guest’s Instagram post, “throwing” “down” on the dance floor, doing what can be described as a robot temporarily malfunctioning, while the wedding band played a cover of Dead Or Alive’s “You Spin Me Round (Like a Record).” You can watch above until your eyes bleed.

And so, the former leader of our nation left it all on the floor, showing us once and for all that after a decade after he and a complicit media spun the Iraq war into the disaster that’s still playing out today, the man! can! spin (you right round baby right round)! Stiiiiill got it!!!

Those who indulge in the grooviest drugs of all, psychedelics, can take solace in knowing that researchers have found no link between the most popular varieties and mental health disorders—despite what that leprechaun with 31 eyebrows may have said the last time you dropped acid.In a new study, researchers from Norway's University of Science and Technology in Trondheim analyzed information from the U.S....

This September marks the second anniversary of Hong Kong’s Umbrella Movement, a series of protests in 2014 (some of the most violent in China since Tiananmen Square) led by students demanding universal suffrage for the people of Hong Kong in response to more restrictive electoral procedures. While the movement itself has subsided, its ripple effect can be seen in the...

Earlier this week Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream, an award-winning artisanal ice cream company (because, yes, you can win awards for ice cream), announced that it would be destroying more than 535,000 pounds of the cold treat after its products tested positive for listeria. The news came after Blue Bell ice cream recently recalled products due to listeria contamination that led to the deaths of three...

President Donald Toddler‘s war against the media—virtually every outlet of which he’s deemed fake news, save for the “irreproachable” Breitbart and Fox News—will be fought with one less Republican on its side. Former president and current Bob Ross wannabe George W. Bush doesn’t think No. 45 should be so quick to attack journalism (yes, the institution, not just the...

Writer-director Adam McKay has been one of the most forward-thinking faces of American comedy for most of his adult life. After early years performing stand-up in Philadelphia, he wound up in Chicago, where he earned accolades as a member of the legendary Second City, as well as being a founding member of Upright Citizens Brigade. From there, he went...

Bill Clinton takes cute picture that will definitely not devolve into a screaming internet grudge match Bill Clinton takes cute picture that will definitely not devolve into a screaming internet grudge match

Last night, a picture of former President and nearly-First Husband Bill Clinton began making the rounds on the internet, largely on the strength of the fact that it was very cute, and despite the fact that, like any world leader, Clinton is an immensely divisive figure, both for his personal conduct, and the decisions, successes, and failures of his...

The entire last century can be summarized via wedding cakes The entire last century can be summarized via wedding cakes

There are plenty of ways to measure how the world has changed over the course of the last 100 years: technology, medicine, entertainment, fashion, the economy, global politics, etc. But could a century be encapsulated in something smaller and more tangible, preferably something edible? Try wedding cakes. Societal attitudes about marriage have certainly evolved over the last 100 years,...

It was a pretty spectacular snub by the late Sen. John McCain to not only request that the nation’s sitting president be excluded from McCain’s funeral services at Washington National Cathedral on Saturday, but also to ask former presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama to deliver the eulogies. The swipes at President Donald Trump didn’t end there. With key members...

There’s a scene in Evan Wright’s Generation Kill where the Marines in Kuwait get a huge order of Pizza Hut, and that’s how they all knew they were going to invade Iraq. The moral is never trust George W. Bush when he gives out pizza to government employees.

Incredibly, Jeb Bush's Son Is Lamer Than Jeb Incredibly, Jeb Bush's Son Is Lamer Than Jeb

Is each successive generation of Jeb Bush’s line doomed to be even lamer than the last? Is Jeb the dominant gene? Does Jeb-ness only get more compounded over the ages, perhaps like a Baltic herring that is buried in a can so that it ferments in its own rotting brine for months? The answer is yes!!!!!According to reporting by Axios,...

Dick Cheney Is Still the Absolute Worst Dick Cheney Is Still the Absolute Worst

Anyone who tells you that they remember the administration of George W. Bush fondly compared to our current president—Nancy Pelosi included—is overlooking, well, pretty much everything about the Bush administration. Former vice president Dick Cheney played a very big role in the horrors of the Bush years, and you will not be surprised to learn that he’s still the...
