Get a PS1 Emulator Up and Running on a Raspberry Pi 2

Thorin Klosowski Mar 07, 2015. 4 comments

The Raspberry Pi 2 is fast enough to run a bunch of new emulators, but the Playstation emulator is easily the one people are the most excited about. YouTuber TechTipta shows off the installation process for the PS1 using our favorite tool, RetroPie .

As you'd expect, you'll need to do some special setup to get the Playstation emulator working, including getting a BIOS file, fixing video output, setting up the GPU memory, and doing a little work to get the analog controls working. Hopefully this will get a little smoother over time, but for now, the video above will help you get it set up and working in a jiffy.

Know Your Rights: Photography in Public Know Your Rights: Photography in Public

The ubiquity of camera phones has turned every layperson into a semi-professional photographer, and social media makes it even easier to spread photographs and video over the internet like wildfire. This Is the Best Homemade Play Dough This Is the Best Homemade Play Dough

When my son was a toddler, we went through a very big “sensory activities” phase. Any new texture that he could squish or mold (and incorporate into his dinosaur battles) would keep him occupied for dozens of precious minutes. He loved regular Play-Doh, so I went in search of a homemade version that would be a little softer and...

It’s fun to play games with your kid, but eventually you have to face how much they suck at them.
